Hannah Longmuir Notebook
This beautiful A5 size eco-jotter has a wrap-around design on the cover by artist Hannah Longmuir. It features a pencil drawing of wonderful old tree, branches spread wide. This tree is host to a vast ecosystem of plants, insects, birds and animals (including a little red squirrel on the trunk of the tree). The tree in the image is on one of my favourite walks at a local countryside park called Harestanes. It sits at the side of a big field which is vivid yellow with oil seed rape in the late springtime.
The wrap-around design is printed on 100% recycled board. There’s something lovely about the blank ink on the brown kraft background.
This jotter makes a wonderful sketchbook or notebook. I use them as a diary sketchbook when I go on holiday. It has 32-pages of high quality 190gsm cartridge paper. The pages of the jotter are lovely quality, smooth, off-white paper which I think make a wonderful surface to draw on. The paper can even handle a tiny little bit of watercolour paint.
Hannah Longmuir illustrates the changing seasons, record the details of her local countryside in Scotland. She creates delicate, detailed drawings of the fields, hedgerows, skies and woodlands, creating beautiful, nature-inspired calendars, cards and stationery.
